A 5-day Bible study built on a single verse — 1 Thessalonians 5:14 — for moms who want to reach their child's heart, not just manage their behavior.
Your child is acting out, and you're not sure what they need.
Correction? Comfort? A pause? You've tried what you know. Some of it works. Some of it doesn't. By 7:30pm you're not even sure what kind of mother you were today.
A Mother's Response is for that.
It's a 5-day Bible study (plus a bonus day) built on one verse — five short phrases that turn out to be a whole framework for parenting from the heart instead of from reaction.
"And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all."
— 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Paul was writing to the church. He was also, it turns out, writing to every mother who's ever wondered whether to correct, comfort, or just keep going. This study walks one phrase at a time, slowly, with the scriptures and Greek behind each one — and the practical question of what that looks like with your own kids.
The five days (and a bonus)
Day 1 — "We urge you." What if Paul wasn't writing to a church — but to every mother who's ever wondered if she's shepherding her own small flock well?
Day 2 — "Admonish the idle." There's a word in the original Greek that changes everything about how we correct our kids — and once you see it, you can't unsee it.
Day 3 — "Encourage the fainthearted." Most of your child's worst behavior isn't what you think it is — and the response that actually meets it isn't the one you've been giving.
Day 4 — "Help the weak." What if your real job in parenting starts somewhere your hands can't reach?
Day 5 — "Be patient with them all." Patience isn't a personality trait — and the way it's grown has surprisingly little to do with trying harder.
Bonus Day — Finding hope and healing in parenting. For the days you feel like you've gotten it all wrong — and need to remember who's actually building your kid.
How it works
Each day gives you three things working together:
- A video teaching on Kajabi — Bethany walks through the day's phrase, the original Greek, and the supporting scriptures
- A workbook page to study, reflect, and pray through, with prompts and space for your own answers
- A linked Warrior Mama Podcast episode — extra teaching you can listen to on the school run, in the laundry pile, or after the kids are in bed
The three reinforce each other. Watch, write, listen — and the verse settles into the way you mother.
What's included
- 9-page printable workbook (PDF, sent by email at purchase)
- 6 video lessons on Kajabi — one per day plus the bonus
- Linked Warrior Mama Podcast episodes for each day
- Lifetime access on Kajabi — come back to it every season your kids age into a new stage
Who it's for
Christian moms who are tired of choosing between correction and connection — and want the gospel framework for doing both. Moms whose kids are in any stage, with any temperament. Moms who want to mother from a slower, deeper place than reactive.
You're not raising kids who behave. You're raising kids whose hearts you've actually reached.
