Discipline isn't the part of motherhood we like to talk about.

We feel guilty about how we did it yesterday. We're uncertain about how to do it today. We're not sure what shapes a heart and what just shapes a habit. And the gap between what we know we should sound like and what actually comes out of our mouths at 6:47pm — that gap is exhausting.

This is a course for that gap.

Learning the Art of Gospel Discipline Conversations is a 22-episode private podcast course (about 7–8 minutes each) plus a 53-page printable journal you fill in alongside it. It walks through how to have the kind of discipline conversation that's actually a conversation — one where you stay steady, your child stays open, and the gospel doesn't get crowded out by the chaos.

It's not about stopping bad behavior. It's about what happens between the behavior and the bedtime.

What you'll walk through

Four practices, one per week. Each builds on the last.

Week 1 — Correction. What if correction wasn't about getting compliance, but about asking the question God asks? "Where are you?" (Genesis 3:9–13). We redeem correction from anything you might have experienced as a kid and learn to lead with the kind of questions that surface what actually happened.
Anchor verses: Genesis 3:9–13, Isaiah 40:11, Psalm 139:23–24.

Week 2 — Inspection. We help your child become skilled at looking within — at their own heart and the motivation underneath the behavior. Not by issuing a verdict, but by asking good questions that illuminate their need for a Savior.
Anchor verses: Psalm 26:2, Jeremiah 17:10.

Week 3 — Repentance. Real repentance is a moving away and a moving toward — and that's the work of the Holy Spirit, not us. We learn to step back and trust that God is doing vertical work between him and your child while we keep the conversation honest and tender.
Anchor verses: 1 John 1:9, James 5:16, Philippians 1:6.

Week 4 — Blessing. Every discipline conversation ends here. We close by speaking who they are in Christ — naming the unique design God has placed in them and the purpose he is shaping them for.
Anchor verses: Ephesians 2:10, 2 Corinthians 3:18, James 1:5.

How it works

  2. Reflect. The 53-page printable journal walks you through each episode with scripture, prayer prompts, and one specific discipline situation to think through. Print it as many times as you have kids.
  3. Practice. Try one new thing in the next discipline conversation. Not all of it. Just one. Watch what shifts.

Who it's for

Christian moms who want to discipline from a calmer, more biblical place — and stop feeling like they're either too soft or too sharp. Works for moms of toddlers through teens; the four practices stay the same at every age, the questions just adapt to your kid.

You don't need a theology degree. You don't need to have read the right parenting books. You just need to want this part of mothering to look more like Jesus.

You're not raising compliant kids. You're raising kids who get to see what grace looks like at home.
