Fear Less Pillowcase

Bedtime is where fear shows up loudest.

The dark gets darker. The shadows get sharper. The tummy starts to hurt for no reason, the noises in the hallway start to mean something, and the brain that was fine all day suddenly wants to talk about everything that could go wrong.

We made the Fear Less Pillowcase for that exact part of the night.

It puts God's Word right under your child's head — seven verses we keep coming back to when our kids are afraid:

• Psalm 4:8 — "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe."
• Psalm 56:11 — "I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?"
• Psalm 91:11 — "He will order his angels to protect you wherever you go."
• Isaiah 41:10 — "Don't be afraid, for I am with you."

How to use it

Read one verse together at lights-out. Lay your hand on the pillowcase and pray it back over them by name. Let them trace the words with their finger when they wake up afraid. Pick a different verse for a different fear — there's one here for shadows, one for the tummy, one for being alone, one for the noises, one for the imagined what-ifs.

The pillowcase doesn't do the work — God's Word does. We just made it harder for fear to get the last word at bedtime.
